Right-Wing Republicans Ramp Up the Vitriol to Killing Cartoons

It used to be the tactic of right-wing Republicans to just maneuver progressives out of congress by “legal” subterfuge, although some of these tactics were perhaps questionable, even today.
Remember progressive Senator Paul Wellstone? He died in a very suspicious “accident” (frozen wiper system) of his plane, that flew hundreds of times before without a mishap. Then, progressive Senator Al Franken was run-out of Congress for “groping” a female journalist on the plane. Finally, Congressman Dennis Kucinich was literally gerrymandered out of his congressional district in Ohio. He ran for president a couple of times, so I guess the right-wing was very suspicious that he might run again.
This gerrymandering of votes, by the way, is exactly the du jour method being used against any and all Dems running in the upcoming 2022 midterm elections. Stand by, folks, for a flood of gun-wielding, conspiracy-toting weirdo Q’Anons coming into office.
Now, however, we have a congressman who uses “old school” tactics that he probably thought were “brilliant” because Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, herself, used Twitch and other social media to such great effect.
In any job in America, what would happen if you made a video depicting yourself murdering a coworker and brandishing two swords at the CEO?
Exactly. You would be fired.
That’s precisely what far-right Congressman Paul Gosar of Arizona did on Sunday night when he gleefully posted a video on his official congressional Twitter account portraying himself brutally killing Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and attacking President Joe Biden.
I can’t help but think the next thing they’ll pull is outright assassinations. Just my opinion. Cortez is one of the very few Progressives to investigate business and its “tax-free” loophole schemes that have literally killed people, like the Private Equity Groups that hide from view and fire thousands of folks right and left (like Toys-R-Us employees) and the thousands of chain nursing homes owned by PEG’s hidden investors. I don’t think she’s long for this Congress either. Let’s hope she can stay alive long enough to run again. 😟
